If you happen to be travelling to Cape Town during the first week of the month, you\u2019re certainly in for a treat. First Thursdays<\/a> is an event that happens on the first Thursday of each month where the streets of Cape Town open up and turn into a hub of activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art galleries, cultural institutions and shops stay open until late allowing visitors to stroll from one venue to the next and enjoy the creative expressions of the people. Expect art exhibitions, live performances, music and a non-stop vibe.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is used as a way to promote and celebrate the local art and cultural scene, while encouraging people to explore and engage with the city in a unique way. Once you\u2019ve had a walk around the streets, be sure to pop into a bar for a drink and a snack!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
